While Independent Living residents at University Place Independent Living don’t have to dine with us, many choose to. We prepare three meals every day for our residents, focused on balance, taste, and visual appeal.

We take great pride in producing restaurant-quality meals. That begins with our on-site culinary team. Our cooks are always hard at work planning menus, shopping for fresh and local ingredients, and preparing delectable dishes for our residents to enjoy.

Life in our senior living community is all about choices. You can choose how you dine with us. Many of our residents choose to dine in our shared dining spaces, where they enjoy good conversation and delicious food prepared by our talented team of chefs.
Residents can also choose to prepare meals in their own homes and enjoy them by themselves or with friends. Our residents also love dining out in the local community of Abilene, Texas, where they can enjoy delicious meals and snacks in restaurants, cafes, and diners.

We love putting food at the heart of our special events. There’s always something happening at University Place Independent Living involving food! New residents are treated to the dishes they love to welcome them into the community. We also love treating our residents to special birthday meals!
Many of our community events also revolve around food, including scheduled outings to local eateries.
